Memory Lane
Wow, I just spent a half how looking though the previous blogs! It was fun looking at the pictures and reading my words from 3 and 4 years ago. I started this blog for all our family, those far and near, to be able to see pictures and keep up with us. Now, I think I may start writing so I, myself, have something to look back on. With Facebook, Blogs seem to be a thing of the past, but I am not a huge poster on Facebook. When I have something to say, it is usually longer than 1-2 sentences. Here is a few recent pictures to get us all up to date.

More Pictures of Peyton
Here are a few pictures of our newest little man! He is growing like a weed. He is 8 pounds 6 ounces and is 21 1/4 inches. He has met both sets of grandparents and is pretty sure he has them both wrapped around his pinkies
He has had a little bit of a rough time, but he is doing great now.
He spent the night in the hospital under the lights for jaundice.
Isabella got to feed him a bottle for the first time, he is not sure he cares for bottles, but I'm sure we will keep trying.
He loves laying in his crib under his mobile, and he loves getting his feet and bottom wet in the sink at bathtime!

6:46 pm
He cried when he was born which was a first for us. (The Dr always had to pluck them or something to make them cry) However, even though he cried, he still looked a little purple, and then within 5-10 minutes he was grunting. This apparently was a red flag, because at that point they took him to the nicu to check him closer. When they returned they said they were going to keep him because they felt he had come too fast and the fluid didn't get squeezed from his lungs. They thought he would be back with us by 2am. So now, here we are on the second full day of NICU. He has been grunting a little less each time we visit, but not enough to let him go. Last night he was fed a bottle all night long, and today, he has stomach problems and is spitting up) But on the upside, he had not been heard grunting sinceabout 5pm yesterday. Could we be trading problems? Hopefully it is not enough to keep him in longer...
I am going home today, and maybe...just maybe....if he doesn't grunt, or cause any other reason for concern he can go with us. We are clock watching until about 2pm with our fingers crossed.
We can't get very many good pictures of him because of the NICU and his wires, and our limited time with him, but here are a few.

trip to the Insectarium
For Labor Day weekend Richie took the kids to Bogalusa to spend time with his family. Angel was in town with her kids and Isabella was incredibly lonesome. Although, she had to miss school for a fever on Thurs & Fri, she felt good enought to go playing with her cousins. They went to the zoo and the Insectarium in New Orleans. I think they had a lot of fun, except when a big butterfly landed on Isabella's behind and scared her half to death. They had the opportunity to eat a bug, but thankfully I have picky eaters so, the declined with a "yuck". However, I think the others did eat the bug. Yes, there is a picture of a little pizza with a bug in it!

Finally - an update
Ok, so believe it or not, these days I only get on the computer about once a week. I have been so busy since school started. We really have had quite the adjustment joining the 9 o'clocker's club. i have been trying to get stuff ready for the baby, trying to get the kids on a new routine, trying to get myself on a new routine, and keeping up with 2 kids activities, school and homework....wow...what a big change for us! Here are some pictures that I have been trying to get posted for a few weeks. There is the first day of school for both of them, Isabella in Kindergarten and Mason in PK3.

Baby Shower
We have been so busy lately, I have been falling behind on all my updating. I will start with the shower. Some of you may not know about our neighborhood,so let me fill you in. When we moved here 2 1/2 years ago, we happen to stumble across a house at the last minute (on our closing day for another house) and decided to go with that one. There must have been a little fate there because our street filled up with neighbors from all over, many of which are from Louisiana. This has to be the nicest neighborhood in the world. We are all friends and look out for each other. We all have kids around the same age who love to play together. We have frequent block parties, and get togethers including an annual crawfish boil, now that is something for Texas...hahaha. Anyway, on with the story.... There happens to be 3 ladies on the street who are all expecting. The due dates are all separated by 1 month...September, October, and November. So 3 other ladies on the street decided to throw us a diapers and wipes shower. This was so sweet. We really got a lot of very useful things, and I can't tell you how grateful I am that they would so this, especially with it being my 3rd baby and all. We had a lot of fun. Oh, did I mention we are all having a boy!?!

Tennessee Vacation Trip
We went to Chattanooga, adn then on to Gatlinburg. We had a very good time, and the kids had a blast. mason got to ride on 3 diffreent choo-choos( the incline railroad, the Dollywood Express, and the tram from the parking lot to Dollywood.) The tram was his favorite, he says. isabella got to Ice Skate and see live racoons dig in our garbage every nite. ( that was their highlights if you ask them)We stayed at a cabin with Richie's mom and dad, and half through the week we went to get Leia & Alex ( his niece & nephew). then his sister came to meet us after work on Friday and stayed the weekend. Very busy week!!!

It's going to be ......
So we had our ultrasound and the baby is supposed to be a boy. It was really hard for the tech to see because the little legs were closed, but she thinks it is a boy. ( not exactly settling for me, but hey, we have one of each already and it doesn't really matter. Although, it would be very shocking for the dr. to say, "congratulations on your baby girl"...Ahhh) Even though, he was reluctant to show his business, he seems very proud of his feet...they showed up in nearly every picture she tried to take.

School is out and the kids are wild. We are leaving for vacation on Saturday, so hopefully when we come back they will be so tired, it will take a week to get back up to speed.
We are also rearranging the house. Trying to make a room for the baby. In doing so, we are moving the toyroom upstairs to share with the guest bedroom. Moved the desk into the room by the front door. Going to move my sewing/craft room to the new office to share with the computer. In turn that will leave the last green bedroom down the hall for the new baby. THEN, we can begin to get the baby room ready. This is quite a task to accomplish with being pregnant, and have 2 kids already who seem to undo everything as we go.
Time passes so fast. The older you get the faster it goes, and with each child it seems to double time absorbtion. This fascinates me. Anyway...I have 4 months to get finished...ugh!
